Floods
Have nothing to do with Climate Change. If the water has no where to go, you have a flood. For more than a life time, and plus, we have been filling holes in the ground with debris and waste, then covering with concrete and then landscaping. These holes have been huge, some have been Quarries.
We have built new homes, factories, leisure facilities etc, causing more water not to be absorbed in the ground.
This problem will not go away, it will get worst if we do not act now.
Immediate Changes
There are immediate changes we can make to eradicate this situation to help solve.
No more in fill sites to be filled, debris and waste to be recycled or burnt.
A tax on all land covered that stops natural absorption. Good drainage must be a requirement.
Immediate stopping of new road building and maintenance, unless urgent.
Immediate stopping of new homes, only maintain existing.
Immediate investment of £1billion, for planning and construction Lakes and Cannels.
Tax advantages for investments on the immediate construction of Lakes and Cannels and their usages.
The Long Term
The long Term should be
To eradicate floods.
To build Cannels stretching from East to West, North to South.
To build Lakes to collect rain water.
Imagine Our Children’s Future!
Because we have allowed ourselves choice, the result has been chaos. The last 50 years is the cause of worst flooding, and this is just the start of things to come. Imagine if this happened in January! Would we have ice rings all over the place?
This is only a little of what should be done and said about Floods. Unless we deal with problem and fast and threat it has the enemy, it will only get worst for all of us and we give our children a future of chaos.
