"I paid for the wash that destroyed my duvet"

The self-service washing machine destroyed my duvet. I only asked for a refund on the money I paid for the washing (not a refund for the destroyed duvet) and they refused pointing me to a (tiny) announcement on the wall stating that "users of washing machines take full responsibility"..
