Colchester Furniture Project helped me a lot recently. You have to be referred, you can't just turn up you have to be in real poverty (they check). I was in the Women's Refuge recently and they helped me to furnish my house with second-hand, but good condition furniture and I was lucky enough to get a cooker and a fridge too!

I can't thank them enough They changed the shell of my flat into a home,and me and my little boy was given a good start in our new home..
